We offer an ambitious three-week summer intensive for young dancers in the beautiful premises of the Royal Danish Theatre. The faculty is composed of teachers and ballet masters from the Royal Danish Ballet and School, as well as internationally renowned teachers and pianists, who bring their expertise to Copenhagen for three weeks.
The course is open to young dancers who train professionally or who have already started their dance careers.
Covid-19 - overvågning
The course is selective and all applicants must send an audition video. It is free to send an application for the Summer School. After you have sent your application, it will be reviewed and assessed. If you are successful, you accept your place by paying your tuition and if applicable lunch fees before the deadline online via a dedicated link sent by email.

Each week has a different focus, with the third week entirely devoted to the Bournonville style and tradition. Students can attend less than three weeks, but they will miss out on essential classes and will have less material to perform on the last day of the course. The course takes place in the facilities of the Royal Danish Theatre. The entrance of the studios is in Tordenskjoldsgade 8, Copenhagen K.
On the last day of the course Saturday, July 27 , all the students enrolled in the third week will have the opportunity to perform in our final performance. The performance is for free and will feature excerpts and pieces learnt in the various classes. The course is organised in four programmes differentiated by technical level. Students are assigned a programme after assessment of their audition video.

Students can choose to attend one, two, or three weeks, but please note that if you choose to attend less than three weeks, you will miss out on essential classes and will have less material to present for the performance.
